Research
My research is on management of chronic diseases using self-care and alternative therapies, issues in minority health and family caregivers, and qualitative methods in health services research.
Currently I am conducting a six-year study titled "Process of Self-Care: a Comparison of Older African Americans and Whites," funded by the National Institutes of Health.
